Top 3 Science Fiction Authors of All Time

Science Fiction in Literature has a way of taking us out of this world and into the great beyond. With that in mind, here are our top 3 Science Fiction authors (in no particular order).

#1 Jules Verne

Considered the “Father of Science Fiction Literature” he wrote about futuristic technologies long before anyone else on this list. His works inspired real-world engineering and exploration and helped define what we call “hard science fiction”. His most notable works are Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Journey to The Center of the Earth, and From the Earth to the Moon.

#2 Isaac Asimov

Isaac Asimov transformed science fiction literature from simple adventure stories into a sophisticated exploration of how technology shapes society. His systematic approach to world-building and his famous Three Laws of Robotics remain foundational to the genre. He brought out the more intellectual side of Science Fiction by opening up conversations about artificial intelligence and how technology impacts human history. His most notable works are I, Robot and The Foundation Series.

#3 Phillip K. Dick

Often not seen on enough lists of this kind, Phillip K. Dick, helped lay the groundwork for the Cyberpunk genre we know today with his work Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Coming out of the Cold War Era he brought out the psychological complexity of existence itself with protagonists who are trying to navigate a world that they don’t trust or understand. His other know works are The Man in the High Castle and Ubik
